Freedom Church is a passionate and welcoming church community based in Fairborn, Ohio. I began working with Freedom Church in 2022, and what started as an occasional collaboration grew into an ongoing creative partnership. As of now, I serve as the church’s Creative Director, where I lead design and marketing efforts weekly to support both outreach and internal communication.
The church had an existing logo, but it lacked cohesion, modern appeal, and adaptability across platforms. The typography felt outdated, and the overall branding wasn’t flexible enough for print, digital, and social applications. As the church grew in reach and vision, its identity needed to reflect that same momentum.
Over several months, I worked closely with Pastor Rick Compton and the church team to understand their heart, audience, and goals for the future. Through collaborative exploration and design iterations, we arrived at a bold yet simple visual identity system that centers around a new logomark featuring an eagle — symbolizing freedom, strength, and spiritual uplift.
We also developed alternate lockups, badges, and a suite of social templates to ensure the brand remains flexible and future-ready.
The rebrand of Freedom Church has given the community a recognizable and professional identity that matches the depth of its mission. The new logo is now featured across their signage, merchandise, online platforms, and outreach campaigns. With this new system in place, the church is better positioned to communicate clearly and consistently, whether it’s welcoming new families or inviting people to Easter service.
Most importantly, the brand feels like them—authentic, inviting, and forward-looking.
What started as a branding refresh evolved into a long-term creative partnership built on trust, shared values, and a passion for creating meaningful visuals that move people.
